Robbie bids Becks fond farewell from LA after cup win

ROBBIE KEANE bid a stylish farewell to his LA pal David Beckham over the weekend.

The Irish skipper scored as he helped LA Galaxy secure their second MLS Cup title in a row, before celebrating with Beckham who is leaving the club.

Keane's wife Claudine had to provide the glamour for the big finale as Victoria Beckham missed her husband's last game.

Reports say that Posh and daughter Harper flew back from Europe too late.

But that didn't stop Beckham (37) from enjoying a champagne filled last day with his sons Brooklyn (13), Romeo (10) and Cruz (7).

And he posed happily alongside our own Robbie who momentarily stole the limelight by scoring a goal to help secure Galaxy's 3-1 victory over Houston Dynamo.

Asked afterward about the penalty, Keane said he never even thought about letting Beckham take it.

However, he did pay a glowing tribute to the Englishman, saying: "He has put MLS on the map and made players like me want to come over and play.

"We are certainly going to miss him but I am so happy we have sent him off with a championship."

After the game Robbie and Becks cut a dapper pair as they togged out in the team suit for photographs with their trophy.

Scottish actor Gerard Butler was also there for the party, with Claudine tweeting: "Having great fun with Gerard Butler celebrating the Galaxy win!!!"

But with Posh and Becks now off the LA scene, Robbie and Claudine are set to be the new glamour couple at the club.

Robbie has been tipped for an even bigger role with the club as his profile goes up at a time when his career should be coming to an end.

"My first priority is the LA Galaxy and that will always be the case," he said.
