FORMER Ireland international Steven Reid has today announced his retirement from football.
Reid, 34, was restricted to just seven appearances for Burnley this term and he's decided that will be his last season. "It is with a heavy heart that I announce my retirement from professional football at the end of the current season," Reid said today.
"There has been many high sand lows during my 17-year career and I would like to thank everybody, especially family, who have been part of the wonderful journey."
Reid made his debut for Milllwall back in 1998 and also lined out for Blackburn and West Brom before his move to Burnley. He won his last cap against Montenegro in 2008.
