QPR have real quality – Richard

IN-FORM defender Richard Dunne has praised his QPR team-mates after they sustained their good start to the season.

Rangers 'keeper Rob Green kept a third successive clean sheet with a 1-0 win away to Bolton on what was a good weekend overall for Dunne as he was yesterday recalled to the Ireland squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers against Sweden and Austria.

"The whole team are working so hard and when Rob's called on in goal, he's making some top saves and we're keeping clean sheets," Dunne said.

"We know we've got the quality in the final third to create chances and score goals, but the whole team is working hard and the more clean sheets we keep, the more likely we are to win football matches."

AIDEN DOUBT

AIDEN McGEADY is a major doubt for Ireland's World Cup qualifiers next month. The winger has been struggling with an ankle injury, forcing him to miss the friendly against Wales while he's also sat out the last two games for Spartak Moscow, and he was not included in their squad for this evening's league game away to Amkar Perm.

KEOGH 'GUTTED'

ANDY KEOGH has expressed his disappointment at his exclusion from the Ireland squad for next month's World Cup qualifiers.

Keogh has scored two goals in five games for Millwall this season and made an appearance for Ireland against Wales earlier this month but the 27-year-old didn't make it into the provisional 29-man squad for the games against Sweden and Wales. "Not even in the provisional squad, gutted, oh well might get called in last minute," Keogh said on twitter today.

ZAYED CALLED UP

EAMON ZAYED has been called up to Libya's squad for their vital World Cup qualifier against Cameroon next month.

The Libyans are away to Cameroon in their final game of the World Cup group stage on Sunday September 8th, meaning Zayed will miss Shamrock Rovers Premier Division clash with Cork City that weekend.

SHANE DUFFY will try to secure a loan move away from Everton next week. The Ireland U21 captain has not featured for the Toffees so far this season and is keen to get games.
