Premier clubs come calling for Westwood

COVENTRY CITY admit they have received approaches for Ireland keeper Keiren Westwood as a January sale for the £2million-rated player edges closer.

Westwood is out of contract in the summer so Coventry may decide to sell the 26-year-old now instead of losing him on a free transfer in the summer, with Wigan the front-runners to sign the Irish international.

"We have had a number of Premier League clubs show an interest in him," confirmed City chairman Ray Ranson.

"But we have not put a price on his head and in the two and a half years he's been at the club we have never quoted a price to anyone."
