Only last week the Leinster champions made it a super double when they beat Chanel College -- ironically, the same opposition as in the provincial cup decider -- in the Metropolitan Division One League Final.

It proved to be a superb warm-up for the Lucan school for Tuesday's national semi-final as they had to wait well over a month following their original Leinster cup success against Chanel.

Maybe it was the long wait or nerves, but the Leinster champions found themselves behind after only six minutes at Gortakeegan Park in Monaghan when Dewi Bolger Moore opened the scoring.

Impressively, Phádraig hit back within just two minute as Dylan Hayes found the net with a superb free kick from distance.

The left winger was instrumental in giving his side the lead going in at half-time when his ball found Tom Prior, who finished nicely.

Towards the end of a great battle from both sides, Timmy Babbingtom secured victory with only 10 minutes remaining when he left the goalkeeper for dead to score. Conor Kane's excellent delivery then put further gloss on the win for the Lucan boys as it forced Ryan Gallon to put into his own net. Pictured above is the Coláiste Phádraig team.
