PAUL McSHANE has been sent to train with the Hull Under 21s by an irritated Steve Bruce and it now looks certain that he will be looking for a new club when the January transfer window opens in another week.
Bruce is desperate to shake Hull out of a 10-game winless run which has seen them slide inexorably into the relegation zone and he clearly doesn't see McShane as part of the solution.
McShane received a flood of support when reports surfaced suggesting that he was one of several players Bruce is looking to offload next month to generate transfer funds.
The Ireland international tweeted his thanks for the support but also revealed that he will be training with the Under 21s and had been demoted from the first team squad.
"I could be here all night retweeting everyone but I've gotta get some sleep for U21 training tomoz. Cheers for the love, keep the faith!"
Bruce reacted sharply to the tweet and suggested that McShane sould tell everyone the reason why he was dropped from the senior squad in the first place.
"I could go on Twitter and tell you the reason why, but maybe Paul can enlighten you why he's with the Under-21s," said the irritated Bruce.
"I'll never go to the media or on Twitter on things which remain in-house. Maybe he'll go on Twitter and tell the real reason why, then you'll all know," he fumed.
