ARSENE Wenger is resigned to life without Mesut Ozil for at least the next month after the German playmaker damaged a hamstring against Bayern Munich.

"He is out," a terse Wenger said. "I don't know for how long but it is a hamstring injury. There are scans going on.

"I don't know exactly how long he will be out for, it looks like a minimum of three weeks. When the minimum is three, the maximum is six. I am not a specialist to know, it's a grade two hamstring (injury), let's say four weeks."

Wenger revealed that Ozil must have played for most of the first-half against Munich on a damaged hamstring.

"He had a very good game against Everton on Saturday. I feel he was handicapped (against Bayern) from early on in the game by this hamstring because I saw him stretching a few times.

"I told my physio 'is he alright?' because he looks to stretch his hamstring. So it looks to me as if he played a long period in that first half being injured."

More bad news for Arsenal came in the shape of Aaron Ramsey, who was tipped for a return to training from long term injury in the next week but his comeback has been put on hold.

Wenger said: "We have had to defer his comeback to full training so he is not available. He is having difficulties in the final stages of his rehab."

Wenger's personnel difficulties mean that Kim Kallstrom, in rehab with back problems since he arrived on loan from Spartak Moscow, could make his Gunners' debut in the big London derby against Spurs on Sunday.
