O'Neill has eye on bid for Dunne

MARTIN O'NEILL is tracking Richard Dunne and could make an offer for Ireland's number one defender as soon as Euro 2012 is out of the way.

The Sunderland boss is aware that Dunne's next contract will almost certainly be his last and believes that he may be able to tempt him away from Villa Park with a big enough offer.

O'Neill is also keen on Dunne's team-mate Gabby Agbonlahor and will have money to spend in the summer to reward his excellent start as Sunderland boss.

Dunne's family is well settled in England's Midlands but the right deal might be enough for him to uproot and throw in his lot with O'Neill.
