IRELAND U21 cap Dylan Connolly could be pitched into action by Ipswich Town boss Mick McCarthy tomorrow after the Shelbourne product made a big impression on the former Ireland manager.
Connolly finally sealed a move from Shels to Ipswich only last week, the deal delayed by compensation issues. Shels are not exactly rolling in cash after the sale of Connolly, with a reported fee of just €5,000 coming their way, but Ipswich's pursuit of the player was worthwhile as McCarthy has added Connolly to the squad for tomorrow's clash with Fulham. "The first-team has got to be the aim and that's what I'm working towards," said Connolly. "I've been here a while now and I've settled in really well."
