WES HOOLAHAN is in line to sign a new contract with Norwich City.
The Ireland star appeared to be on his way out of Carrow Road at the end of last season after he fell out of favour but he has been a key figure for boss Neil Adams in pre-season and instead of moving to Aston Villa, he could agree a new deal to keep him at Carrow Road until 2017.
"I have been delighted with his attitude and application. I've sat him down two or three times and told him how important I think he can be for us," says Canaries boss Adams.
Meanwhile, Ireland U21 cap Anthony O'Connor has left Blackburn Rovers for a spell on loan with League Two side Plymouth Argyle.
The Cork lad previously had spells on loan to Burton Albion and Torquay and he hopes to benefit from first team experience under John Sherridan at Plymouth.
