David Moyes has welcomed the decision by West Ham fans not to stage a protest march ahead of today's crucial clash with Burnley.
Hammers supporters were due to demonstrate against the club's board prior to kick-off but the march was called off after a meeting with vice-chair Karren Brady apparently ironed out a number of their grievances.
A second demonstration, planned by a seperate supporters' group, was then shelved on safety grounds. Manager Moyes knows having the supporters onside will be vital if West Ham are to pull away from relegation trouble. "I have a message to say that it is great for the players and the management that they are not marching," he said. "The atmosphere in some of the games has been tremendous and we need that."
