Moyes – No more signings

DAVID Moyes is ready for a big Old Trafford clear-out – but it looks like Juan Mata won't be sharing a training ground with any other big name newcomers before the summer.

"I would say no. I have said no, I don't think I will," said Moyes when quizzed about more signings following a tonic 2-0 win over Cardiff City.

Robin van Persie scored on his comeback and Ashley Young added a second to put United back on track.

Moyes didn't completely rule out one more signing but refused to speak at all about ongoing efforts to nail down Wayne Rooney to a new deal.

"If something happens I will soon let you know," he said. "And I am sure we will keep you up to date with that (Rooney) as well.

"I joined knowing I was taking over a great squad who had just finished the season as champions, but I was also made very much aware that there would have to be changes made.

"I believe now that we are playing for the Manchester United jersey and for pride in where we are," Moyes said.
