Morrison drops down for Owls

FORMER Ireland man Clinton Morrison has dropped down a division by joining League One outfit Sheffield Wednesday.

Morrison was released by Coventry City at the end of last season despite a successful campaign for the club and now the Owls have swooped to sign the 30-year-old on a two-year deal.

Meanwhile, League Two side Barnet have signed Ireland U21 cap Darren Dennehy from Cardiff City, but they are likely to lose former Cork City star John O'Flynn. The striker is in demand after scoring 14 goals last season and is training with Bristol City on a pre-season tour of Sweden.
