FORMER Ireland man Clinton Morrison believes he still has something to offer after scoring his first goal of the season for League One side Colchester United.

The 34-year-old is on the coaching staff at Colchester – who are led by a Dublin-born management team of boss Joey Dunne and assistant Mark Kinsella – but Morrison is also continuing his playing career.

And having failed to score in 14 games this season, he was on target last weekend, in a 2-1 defeat by Tranmere Rovers.

"My legs feel alright," said the ex-international. "It's not a fluke that I've scored as many goals as I have in my career and it's mainly been at either Premier League, Championship or international level.

"You play with better players, but I like it at Colchester and I want the club to do well," he added.
