SEAN McCaffrey feels his Ireland U17 side can outwit host nation Greece when they kick off their Euro Championship qualifiers tomorrow.
Ireland take on the Greeks tomorrow (11.30am) before further games against Finland (Sunday) and Austria (Wednesday), with the winners of the three-team group advancing to the Euro finals in Liechtenstein in May.
"Greece are a well-organised side with a tremendous work ethic. They may favour the first-half turning into a battle but, once we match them for hunger and, most importantly, discipline, I'd be confident that our technically astute players can cause their defence trouble," said McCaffrey.
"It's vital that we retain possession. I'm glad that the game is being played in the morning, as the heat is unlikely to be a factor, but we need to work to our strength which is getting the ball moving and having a go at them in attack."
