Matthews still the man in Clondalkin!

As another exciting school sports year is well underway, it's hard to believe that the summer months have already skipped us by. But for St Kevin's Community College on the Fonthill Road the memories of the 2011/12 season will remain vivid for some time to come.

Last year, they enjoyed unprecedented success on the soccer field which culminated in glorious and spectacular All-Ireland title.

To top it all off, the team captain, Daniel Matthews, received the ultimate honour by being crowned the Evening Herald School Sports star of the year.

Matthews has achieved legendary status among his peers and the staff at Kevin's, so much so that a banner honouring his achievement can be seen sitting proudly on display to all who pass by the college.
