MARTIN O'Neill has called on Jack Grealish to climb down off the fence and give the FAI a call to confirm that he is ready to declare for Ireland.
Questioned persistently about Grealish since he took the Ireland job, O'Neill has consistently maintained a low-key approach to the Aston Villa starlet who has yet to start a Premier League game.
"I'm not going to force it. It would be nice to hear someone come up and say this is what I want to do. I think that will sit better," said O'Neill.
Recent reports suggested that Grealish would be named as an add-on for the friendly at the Aviva against the USA four days after the battle of the Celts in Glasgow but O'Neill clearly believes that the issue remains undecided although he is not minded to make any move himself.
"Of course I would like to have conversations as I did with player and father but I'm not really there to go and force someone into a decision that they may not fancy down the line," he said.
