Mandzukic goes to Turin from Madrid in a E19m deal

Juventus have completed the signing of Croatia forward Mario Mandzukic from Atletico Madrid in a e19million transfer deal.

The 29-year-old striker completed a medical in Turin yesterday before putting pen to paper on a four-year deal with the Italian champions.

A statement from Juventus read: "Juventus announces it has reached an agreement with Atletico madrid for the permanent signing of Maro Mandzukic in a initial e19m transfer deal. The transfer fee can increase to a maximum of two million euros if certain sporting aims are met during the length of his contract.

"The player has signed a four-year contract with Juventus."

Mandzukic becomes Juve's third summer signing following the arrival of Argentinian forward Paulo Dybala from Palermo and Sami Khedira's move from Real Madrid earlier this month.

"I'm happy to be in a big club like Juventus," Mandzukic said. "I believe the coach (Massimiliano Allegri) knows me well and can get the best out of me.

"I'm ready to do everything necessary for my team-mates."

Mandzukic joined Atletico last summer from Bayern Munich and scored 20 goals in 43 games for the Spanish side.

Juve were keen to strengthen their attacking line with Carlos Tevez expected to leave the club this summer.
