Laws rules out quitting Hoops to join Wycombe

BRIAN LAWS has dismissed reports that he's about to quit Shamrock Rovers to take over from Gary Waddock at Wycombe Wanderers.

Former Burnley boss Laws has been in charge of the Hoops for three games, getting his first win in Friday's 7-0 hammering of Dundalk, and he's due to be in charge until the end of the season, though there were claims that League Two side Wycombe wanted Laws.

"I wish that I had a pound for every time I have been linked with a football club, I have been linked with nearly every job that has come available," says Laws.

"I have been approached by a few clubs but it's nothing that I have dipped into as I think there are clubs out there who can't grow, and I want to be at a club that grows.

"That is one of the things I can see here, that you can do things better and improve. For me I want a club that can progress."
