ROBBIE KEANE will, after all, be able to play a part in Ireland's Wembley appearance against England after securing his release from LA Galaxy.
Initially refused permission to travel to the English FA's 150th anniversary centrepiece by Galaxy, Keane asked for further talks and emerged with the right result.
"I would like to thank LA Galaxy for reconsidering their decision after further conversations between us which really means a lot to me," he said.
"We have reached an agreement that will enable me to make it to the games and I look forward to playing my part."
LA Galaxy were under no obligation to release Keane, who has been struggling with an Achilles injury and only recently returned to fitness.
