Keogh in 'excellent' form

DAVID FORDE has backed calls for Millwall team-mate Andy Keogh to make it into the Irish squad for the Euro 2012 finals.

Keogh is unlikely to make the last 23-man panel for the finals having failed to get a call into the squad for the friendly against the Czech Republic in February.

But the 25-year-old is enjoying the best form of his career, scoring nine goals in 18 games to help the Lions avoid relegation, and his club-mate, Ireland keeper Forde, is a fan.

"Andy has been superb for us and he's one of the main reasons why Millwall stayed up this season," said Forde.

"He's been fantastic since he came to the club.

"Sometimes you go to a club that just suits you from day one and it's been like that with Andy since he came to Millwall in January. Millwall is just his type of club.

"I'd love to see him in the squad, he really has the bit between his teeth and his form is excellent."
