STEPHEN KENNY has stressed that his Shamrock Rovers side will not be allowed to run away with the league title this season.
The reigning champions remain top of the Premier Division table after three games but only by virtue of having scored more goals, as they are level on points and goal difference with Shelbourne and St Pat's Athletic. Rovers left it late to retain their unbeaten record as they needed an injury time equaliser from Gary Twigg to get a draw away to Cork City on Friday.
"I don't think anyone runs away with the league," says Kenny. "In the last few years it has gone to the last match of the season, more or less. There are a lot of good teams and we're not going to be disrespectful to the other sides."
