Kenny gets wanted man Horgan

DUNDALK have pulled off a major coup by securing a deal for Ireland U21 cap Daryl Horgan.

Lilywhites boss Stephen Kenny has been working away on strengthening his squad for the 2014 season, with David McMillan (Sligo Rovers) and Sean Gannon (St Pats) already signed up but now the Oriel Park club have managed to complete the signing of Cork winger Horgan.

Capped once at U21 level, Horgan was one of the stand-out players in the Cork City side last season and he was being chased by a number of clubs, including Shamrock Rovers, while he was also on trial at Torquay United.

But after working out the compensation due to Cork, estimated at €15,000, Dundalk have managed to complete a deal to sign the youngster.
