Kenny gets left behind by Leeds

PADDY Kenny's number is up at Leeds United because the former Ireland goalkeeper's birthday is "unlucky", according to reports from Yorkshire,
writes Aidan Fitzmaurice.

Kenny (pictured) had been the subject of debate among United fans when footage emerged of the ex-Sheffield United man clearly being overweight when he reported back for pre-season last week.

But now Kenny has been left at home while Leeds flew to Italy for a training camp, apparently because the club's new owner believes that 17 - the day Kenny was born - is an unlucky number.

However, as Kenny is one if the highest earners at the club they are keen to move him on anyway, especially as new signing Stuart Taylor will be
first-choice keeper next season.
