Kenna: We can catch Hoops

ST PATS defender Conor Kenna feels there's still time for his side to catch league leader Shamrock Rovers at the top of the Premier Division table, writes AIDAN FITZMAURICE.

The top two in the league meet at Richmond Park tomorrow night, Rovers currently holding a seven-point lead over Dublin rivals St Pats and Bohs, the Saints currently in second ahead of Bohs on goal difference, but Pats man Kenna says the game is a chance for the Inchicore outfit to stake a claim.

"Rovers are flying at the moment and it's really theirs to lose, however there are still lots of games left they still have to come to ourselves and also to Bohs," Kenna says.

"To be honest with a 10 team league it's all very tight and whether it's avoiding relegation, going for the title or qualifying for Europe most teams still have it all to play for".

"I work with a few Rovers fans so I've been getting a bit of stick off them, they definitely haven't been slow in telling me they're top of the table.

"We've been a bit unlucky with injuries and suspensions lately but we've had the same back four now for the last three games and I think that will stand to us on Friday".

The Saints have already sold 2,000 tickets for the game but fans are being urged to get their tickets early as the game is expected to be a sell-out.
