KEITH Andrews says was disillusioned with football before his move back to MK Dons this week.

The 34-year-old managed to secure his exit from a doomed loan spell from Bolton to Watford and returned to MK Dons, where he starred from 2006-2008, and should he feature in tomorrow's top two clash in League One, against Bristol City, it will be Andrews' first game in 11 weeks, since his falling-out with Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic.

But the Dubliner is just relieved to be back at a club where he's wanted. "The last few months have been hard and I've been a bit disillusioned. It can be a very difficult environment to be part of," says Andrews, who played 11 times on loan to Watford before he fell out of favour.

"I'm delighted to be back. It wasn't exactly a well-kept secret. I've been around for the last few games. It was always going to go down to the wire, and it was all down to Watford. It was a gamble because I'd turned down other clubs in the last few weeks.

"But this was always the place I wanted to be, I made my intentions very clear. If I couldn't come here, I wasn't prepared to go anywhere else.

"If it hadn't gone through, I'm not sure what I'd have been doing now. It was a bit of a weird scenario," added Andrews, fondly remembered from his first spell at the club.
