CARLOS TEVEZ will today complete the final stages of his transfer to Juventus after the Italian club last night confirmed his arrival from Manchester City.
The 29-year-old striker has agreed a three-year deal until June 30, 2016, ending his seven-year stay in English football.
Details of the transfer fee have not been disclosed, but reports indicate the Turin club have paid an initial £10million, rising to £12m with add-ons.
The Argentina international underwent the first stage of his medical yesterday and was scheduled to complete the examinations today.
He was to be formally unveiled by the club in a press conference at Juventus Stadium this morning.
"From now on, Carlos Tevez is a Juventus player," read a statement on juventus.com last night.
The statement was accompanied by a picture of Tevez holding the No 10 jersey last worn by iconic Juve striker Alessandro Del Piero.
Tevez arrived at Milan's Malpensa airport from a family holiday in South America yesterday afternoon and was mobbed by around 200 Juve fans ahead of his medical at the club's offices in Turin.
Reports in Italy suggest Tevez's contract with Juventus will earn him €5.5m per season before bonuses.
After his unveiling, Tevez will return to his family holiday. He will be expected back in Turin ahead of Juve's departure for pre-season training in Chatillon on July 12.
Although he has yet to officially start work, new City boss Manuel Pellegrini is known to have authorised the transfer.
