Storage Systems romp to biggest win of the night

Week SEVEN of the Tuesday League at Coolock was a crucial one as it was the last week of games before the table is split to play in the Champions League and Plate league.

The first game of the night was between Accrington Santry and The Anco - a match that had major implications for both sides.

The Anco needed to win to secure a top four slot but they found Santry in a no nonsense mood - determined to protect their near perfect record and it was the Accrington boys who prevailed edging out Anco on an 8-6 scoreline after a frenetic 60 minutes of action.

Storage Systems then took on bottom of the league Chippys FC. Although Storage have been competitive they still found themselves in the lower reaches of the league and were anxious to finish on a high

It was very much a battle of pride and it was Storage Systems who turned up with their scoring boots as they romped to a 15-1 success.

The third game of the night paired Mature Footballers and the Hackers. Mature footballers have had little success in the league while the Hackers have been extremely successful with a talented squad line-up.

Mature Footballers had John Shorthall and Derek Nicholson in their rnaks but it was the clinical Hackers who strolled to a 12-3 win on the night

The final game of the evening was arguably the best game of the night between Soccer Face Jacks and Miley Cyrus

Both had been battling for top four spots andit was Soccer Face Jacks who took the honours thanks to their narrow 6-5 win.

Both teams however squeezed their way into the top four spots, and will now get the chance to play again as the top four teams fight for the Champion League title in the upcoming weeks.
