CLONSKEAGH Cresents bagged the points in this SDFL Under 10 Division 4 encounter in Loretto Park on Saturday morning, when they beast Parkvale 4-2, and it was their keeper Omar Meflah who they had to thank for securing the win.

Meflah was in unbelievable form between the sticks, where he saved a penalty, and proved to be the main stumbling block for Parkvale, as they tried in vein to salvage a game that look beyond them at half time.

The home side were in flying form in the opening half and had built up a comfortable 4-0 lead at the break.

They opened the scoring in the second minute when Ali Meftah slipped a nice ball into Mahmoud El Mahroum , and he slotted home from inside the area.

Five minutes later they doubled that lead this time El Mahroum returned the compliment when he set up Meftah, who's shot cannoned off as defender and ended up in the back of the net.

In between those strikes the Vale had a couple of chances themselves, as a free kick by Oscar Flynn and a shot by James Dooley were both dealt with by Meflah.

Dean Debboub then got in on the act when he helped himself to two goals, both from close range, as the half drew to a close.

Now if the home side were hoping to build on that lead after the break they were in for a shock as Parkvale came out with their guns blazing, and scored in the opening minute through a drive from Alexander Chambers.

It put an extra spring in their step and to be honest they had the home side pinned back in their half for almost the second period, but it was down to Meflah that they did not build on that.

He pulled off save after save, including the penalty, before being beaten again in the final minute when he parried a fierce drive by Flynn that hit a defender and rebounded into the net. It was no more than the visitors deserved but the damage had been done in the opening half, and it was Clonskeagh who were cheering at the final whistle.
