MDL double header with NEC for NDSL

THERE is an away double header awaiting two of the NDSL's representative teams this coming Sunday.

The MDL Grounds in Navan is the venue as the under 12s and under 15s head into action for their latest games in their respective competitions against the NEC.

Up first at 12 noon are the Under 12 Cashin Cup side in what is their final Group 1 game.

Having picked up just the one point in their Group games this season -- that a scoreless draw against the South Dublin League -- they will be anxious to end their campaign on a winning note.

They are up against a NEC side who have also just picked up the one point, that also against the SDFL.

Then at two o'clock it is the turn of the Under 15 John Farrell Cup side against the NEC.

At present the Brenfers lie in second place in the table level on points with Kilkenny, who have two games in hand.

The NDSL have two games recording 1-0 wins over both Wicklow and Wexford, while losing to Dundalk and current group leaders Kilkenny, who have yet to lose a single game.

But the NDSL will be anxious to make it win number three on Sunday and end the campaign on a winning note.

Skills Camp for Easter to concentrate on fun!

HAVE you sorted out what you are doing for the Easter Holidays yet? Maybe you fancy brushing up on your soccer skills and making yourself a better player.

Well if so, the League could have the answer for you. The NDSL in association with their League of Ireland Premier Division neighbours Sporting Fingal -- with whom they have a tie-up -- have just the thing for you.

They are organising a FUN Easter Soccer Skills Camp for 2010. It will run from Monday March 29 through to Thursday April 1 and is suitable for both boys and girls from the age of 9 to 15 years.

The course will run each of the four days from 10.30am to 2.30 in the afternoon at a cost of €45, which also includes a free t-shirt and bootbag.

There is also a girls only camp available if you would prefer.

There is also the opportunity for a real momento as you can get your photograph taken with the FAI Cup, which of course Sporting Fingal won last November when they defeated Sligo Rovers2-1 in Tallaght.

Anyone looking for further information on the Easter Camps should make contact with Tony McDermott on 087 3221092 or email him at tonycolts@hotmail.com
