It's a Dunne deal as Cork City boss signs contract extension

TOMMY DUNNE has signed a contract extension with Cork City, writes Aidan Fitzmaurice.

The Dubliner, who took over a troubled Cork side just over a week before the start of the new season, has worked wonders in building a squad in a short space of time, and the City board have moved quickly to tie up Dunne on a longer-term deal.

"I am delighted to have agreed to extend my contract to the end of next season," said Dunne.

"The fact that I know that I will be here next season brings stability to the situation and allows me to start planning ahead with regard to bringing players in, pre-season training and so on."
