Irish ace Coleman commits future to Everton

SEAMUS Coleman has signed a new deal which will keep him at Goodison Park until 2018.

And the Republic of Ireland star has tipped team-mates Darron Gibson and Shane Duffy to shine in the New Year.

Everton, keen to tie down one of the most promising full-backs in the Premier League, offered a five and a half-year deal which Coleman (left) was delighted to snap up.

“He (David Moyes) is a great manager and for him to want me to be at the club for so long is a great compliment,” said Coleman. “I want to be here for as long as possible and I couldn't ask for a better Christmas present.”

Coleman is more than aware of the Irish influence at Everton and believes it will grow in the coming months.

“Shane Duffy has good future at Everton and Darren has been brilliant since he came in. It looks good for the Irish here,” he said.
