Injury in Faroes rules Aiden out for Moscow

IRELAND'S World Cup qualifier win over the Faroe Islands has come at a price for Aiden McGeady as the winger will miss his club's next two games due to a foot injury picked up in Torshavn, writes Aidan Fitzmaurice.

Spartak Moscow play Russian league leaders Anzhi Makhachlaka tomorrow and also face Benfica in the Champions League next Tuesday but the club have confirmed that McGeady will sit out both games and could be out for a fortnight. Spartak lie in seventh place in the Russian league table, seven points behind leaders Anzhi.
