DAVID FORDE says he will leave talks about his future to the side until his club's status for next season is secure.

The Ireland No 1 is out of contract with the Lions at the end of the season – Millwall wrap up their Championship campaign on Saturday – and after that he will have some big decisions to make.

Now 34, Forde is aware that his next deal will probably be the last major contract of his career, so he has to choose wisely.

A new deal from Millwall is still on the table, but Forde's form with Ireland has also seen him earn wider attention and he won't be short of offers in the summer.

WAIT

"I have spoken to the manager here, but we're going to wait and see as no one knows for certain what division the club will be in next season.

"I will look at my options, it's possible I could stay, but I have a big decision to make.

"I don't want to get bogged down with that this week, I just want to get the weekend game against Bournemouth out of the way, make sure that we are safe and that we stay in the Championship for next season.

"I feel I have done well here, I was the club's player of the year this season, so hopefully people are aware of that."
