Hughes believes only way up

Fulham boss Mark Hughes feels his team will have no problem staying in the Premier League if they continue performing like they did in the win over Blackpool.

Bobby Zamora's two goals and a Dickson Etuhu effort helped the Londoners to a comfortable 3-0 win to continue their impressive recent form at Craven Cottage.

Fulham have secured five victories in their past six games and the latest win helped propel them up to 10th in the table.

While the Cottagers lie just three points shy of Everton in seventh, they also lie a mere six points above West Ham and the final relegation spot.

Despite this, Hughes believes the only way is up for his side.

"I don't have concerns," he said. "The quality of our performance will allow us to pick up more points and that will certainly be enough for us to be safe."

Blackpool are deep in relegation trouble and languish in 17th, just a point from the drop zone.

Boss Ian Holloway admitted he intends to turn things around.

"We got promoted on the strength that we didn't care about someone scoring because we were going to go and score," he said. "Mentally we have got to be strong and that is what I will be looking at."
