Healy deal at Ipswich cancelled

FORMER Ireland international Colin Healy is on the move after Ipswich Town agreed to cancel his contract.

Healy, who joined Ipswich from Cork City in 2009, had struggled to get games this season with just one league appearance and will now leave Portman Road.

"Colin is a terrific pro but he's not had the first-team football he was looking for this season," said manager Paul Jewell.

"Agreeing to bring his contract to an end gives him the opportunity to find himself a new club for the rest of the season."

Healy was capped 13 times at senior level and previously played for Celtic, Coventry City, Sunderland, Livingston, Barnsley, Bradford City and Cork City.
