Girls face English exam

THE Ireland U15 Girls Schools international side are raring to go ahead of next week's Bob Docherty Tournament in Dublin.

That is the verdict of manager Jason Carey, who insists home advantage has really got his squad excited about going one better than last year in Wales.

A final-day defeat to eventual winners Northern Ireland in Cardiff last year denied Carey's side glory, but they will be looking to bounce back at the AUL Complex next week.

A Metropolitan Girls League Selection will give even more young Irish girls a chance to impress on the international stage.

The action kicks off on Wednesday when the home team face England.
