STEVEN Gerrard (above) returned to front line action for Liverpool with a goal in a 3-1 win over Leicester last night but kept Brendan Rodgers guessing about his future.
"I'll decide when I'm ready," said Gerrard, when asked about the new contract offer put on the table by Liverpool.
Gerrard, who was dropped for Liverpool's 1-0 win over Stoke at the weekend and told by Rodgers that he will have to get used to that if he signs a new deal, refused to be drawn on his latest contract offer.
"There's nothing to say on the contract at the moment. When there is, the fans have known me long enough, I'll come out and say what I need to say."
"Over the last three performances, we've been superb and we need to keep trying to improve on that," said Gerrard.
"The reason I don't want to answer your questions is because it's not about me, it's about the performance and a great three points, and that's what the headline should be."
Meanwhile, David de Gea and Ashley Young produced some last-gasp heroics as Manchester United held on to continue their recent revival with a 2-1 win over Stoke.
