DUBLINER Gary Deegan will be sidelined for up to two months with a broken jaw after being the victim of an unprovoked attack while on a night out in Edinburgh.
Deegan's club Hibernian revealed that former Bohemians man Deegan suffered the assault last Saturday night in the city centre.
"Gary was the victim of an unprovoked attack at the weekend and has since had surgery. It is not clear at this stage how long he will be out for but it will be a number of weeks," the club said in a statement.
Deegan only joined Hibernian from Coventry City earlier this season.
