MICHAEL O'NEILL has asked his Shamrock Rovers stars to go out on a high and nick at least a Europa League point against Tottenham in Tallaght tonight.
Eleven months to the day after they reported back for pre-season training, Rovers finish off their historic season by taking on an under-strength Spurs side.
Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has opted to leave star players like Luka Modric and Scott Parker in London and he'll have just three outfield players on the bench.
It's O'Neill's last chance to work with Rovers as he is quitting after tonight's game. The Armagh man is on a shortlist of three for the Northern Ireland manager's job.
But he wants his players to do all they can to end their five-game losing streak in the group stage and cause an upset.
"We are still looking for our first point in Europe and the players have been magnificent in what they have achieved to get here and to retain the league title," O'Neill said.
"We have had some great nights in Europe and it would be great to get something from the game and round the season off by getting something tonight."
