Fergie: We must Kop on

UNITED boss demands his side improve on Anfield record

ALEX Ferguson will send his troops out against Liverpool at Anfield tomorrow with a simple message ringing in their ears: "We must do better".

The Old Trafford supremo is not happy that Liverpool have dominated this crunch fixture far too often in recent years and will demand more from his players.

“We've been poor there of late, our record hasn't been great. On a couple of occasions we've been outfought by them, which has been disappointing. The atmosphere always plays a part,” said Ferguson.

“But we need to be better than we have been in recent seasons and this team can do that,” he added.

While Ferguson frets about form, Kenny Dalglish has been playing down the fierce rivalry which exists between the two managers. “

I don't have any individual contest with Fergie,” he said. “It is not about someone getting one over on someone else – it is about the football club.”
