Extensions for Bayern duo

BAYERN MUNICH have extended the contracts of Franck Ribery and Daniel van Buyten until 2017 and 2014 respectively, the European champions announced today.

Ribery, who moved to Bayern from Marseille in 2007, has penned a two-year extension to his deal which was due to expire in 2015 and could now complete a decade of service with the club.

"We are delighted to keep two cornerstones of our team with us," said Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, chairman of Bayern who this season landed a Champions League, Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal treble.
