BLACKPOOL defender Ian Evatt is willing to play through the pain barrier in order to secure an instant return to the Premier League.
The 30-year-old scored the Seasiders opening goal in last weekend's 2-2 draw at Millwall with a diving header, despite suffering a broken nose in training 24 hours earlier and spending much of the journey to London with blood pouring from the injury.
Birmingham visit Bloomfield Road tonight in the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final and Evatt believes his commitment to the cause is rep-resentative of a desire coursing through Ian Holloway's squad.
"It was a bit of a nasty clash but that just shows the tempo and the focus in training at the moment is unbelievable," he said. "The lads are going around kicking each other, they want it that badly.
"We've got unfinished bus-iness with the Premier League and hopefully we can get back there and prove that we can stay there."
