EAMON DUNPHY has pulled off a spectacular U-turn in his trenchant criticisms of Giovanni Trapattoni today.
Trap's arch critic, right, has now hailed the Italian despite only a short time ago calling for him to be dismissed by the FAI.
Dunphy has for months lambasted the grey-haired general over his team selection and tactical decisions. And despite today continuing to question the Italian manager's "conservative" 4-4-2 formation, Dunphy admitted to the Herald that Trapattoni had "done well".
"I'm expecting this a great night. The lads look home and dry," he said. "The fans deserve it and [Trapattoni's] done well, the campaign's been great."
