Drogs still winless as Kelly spoils party

Drogheda United are still waiting for their first Premier league win this season as Sean Kelly's second-half strike for Galway meant their clash finished as a 1-1 draw.

Sean Connor kept faith in the Galway side narrowly beaten by Sligo Rovers last week, but his counterpart Mick Cooke made five changes from the team thrashed by Shamrock Rovers, and that looked to have rejuvenated the Boynesiders.

They gained the lead on seven minutes when Mark O'Brien fed David Freeman down the right and the winger smacked in a precise pass for Philip Hand to side-foot home.

Sean Kelly atoned for a first-half howler for the Tribesmen when, seven minutes after the restart, he struck the equaliser after his namesake Shaun had picked him out with a neat cross.
