Doyle could face Terriers

KEVIN DOYLE could be back in action for Wolves as early as next week as his thigh injury is not as serious as initially feared.

But the Wexford man is still unavailable for international duty this week as he focuses on regaining fitness for his club.

Doyle was forced to withdraw from the Ireland squad for the World Cup games against Germany and the Faroe Islands after picking up a thigh injury in training but Molineux boss Stale Solbakken says Doyle could be back for their Championship meeting with Huddersfield Town on Saturday week.

"I don't think Kevin Doyle's injury is too bad -- Huddersfield is a possibility, we don't know yet," Solbakken said.

"He's had a scan and he's having treatment in his first week and we'll see what happens next week.

"Of course we want him back but he's not our biggest injury concern -- he's maybe going to take 14 days."
