Di Matteo hopeful of having Reid back for vital Wigan tie

WEST BROM manager Roberto di Matteo hopes to have former Ireland international Steven Reid back in the side for next week's clash with Wigan.

Reid has missed the last four games for the Baggies after suffering an ankle injury and it was feared that the midfielder could be out for two months, but Reid is making good progress in his recovery and could return to the fray against Wigan on Tuesday.

"Steven Reid is doubtful but we expect him to be back with us, we hope he will be okay," said di Matteo (pictured).

Meanwhile Coventry City could put former Ireland B cap Roy O'Donovan up for sale.

The Cork native rejoined Coventry last summer when his contract with Sunderland ran out but he's been given few opportunities this season with just four appearances and Coventry may decide to make the ex-Cork City man available before the transfer window closes.
