Deila's home comforts

Ronny Deila has travelled Europe since becoming Celtic manager over two months ago but can at last look forward to his first game at Parkhead today.

The Norwegian took over from Neil Lennon on June 6 before taking his squad to Austria for a pre-season training camp which involved four matches.

Further friendlies in Germany and Champions League qualifying ties in Reykjavik and Warsaw meant Deila has clocked up the air miles.

Celtic will travel to Slovenia to take on Maribor in the first leg of their Champions League play-off next Wednesday but before that, the former Stromsgodset boss will occupy the home dugout for the first time against Dundee United, who are top of the Scottish Premiership table, albeit after only two games.

"I have seen all Europe so that has been fantastic - and I hope we are still going on that road," said Deila. "But I am looking forward to Saturday, of course, it is going to be a huge game for me, to manage Celtic at Celtic Park."
