DDSL battle Kerry in Kennedy Cup final

KERRY and defending champions Dublin District Schoolboy League (DDSL) will clash in today's SFAI Kennedy Cup final after both sides came through their all Munster and Leinster semi-finals at the University of Limerick yesterday, writes Bernard O'Neill.

Callum Thompson and Nathan Collins netted for the DDSL, who are aiming for their 13th title this century, in the first half in a 2-0 win over North Dublin District League (NDSL).

Kerry took a more "scenic route" into the final after dramatically beating Limerick Desmond 11-10 on penalties following a 1-1 draw at UL.

Today's final will bring the curtain down on the nationwide tournament which has been running since 1976, kicks off is at 2pm.
