CHAMPIONSHIP strugglers are still waiting on Ireland defender Darren O'Dea to make his comeback.

The Dubliner was stretchered off late on in last week's 4-4 draw at home to Nottingham Forest and while the injury was not as serious as initially feared, he will not be ready for action against Blackburn tomorrow.

"Darren has got severe bruising, lacerations and cuts down his ankle and Achilles, and from his knee down he's in quite a bit of pain. That will rule him out," said Blackpool boss Lee Clark said.

Meanwhile, Ireland U18 cap Cory Galvin is on trial with League One side Colchester United. The Cork native has been at Ipswich Town for three years but his contract will not be renewed at the end of this season.

League One side Barnsley have high hopes for Ireland U21 cap John O'Sullivan (pictured) following his loan move from Blackburn and should make his debut tomorrow.

"He is a dynamic player, quick and attack-minded, and he has desire and youth on his side. John has integrated well into the squad and he will be in the squad this weekend," said Tykes boss Mark Burton.
